Summary
An Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in the mental health field which includes high secure forensic settings to medium acute locked wards. She has extensive skills in mentoring, coaching and providing support for vulnerable individuals.
She is currently working as a forensic OT with the Met Police. She handles assessments of officers and advises on functional capacity, job demands, ergonomics and rehabilitation programmes for employees with complex health problems or disabilities, assisting them to remain at or return to work.
In the past, she has gained experience whilst providing rehabilitation services for mental health service users in a locked rehabilitation setting in the form of a meaningful and productive activity programmes, managing client progress and ensuring completion of OT assessments and interventions on individual caseload.
As the OT team lead in a previous place of employment, she worked to ensure smooth and effective running of the Occupational therapy department and liaised closely with wider MDT clinicians.
She is looking for a new opportunity in Mental Health and would like the opportunity to broaden her overall experience.
